The Pittenweem Arts Festival Christmas Fair will take place this December, offering a great platform for local artists to showcase and sell their unique creations. 

This festive event is a vibrant celebration of art and craftsmanship, featuring a diverse selection of jewellery, ceramics, knitwear, paintings, and other handmade items. 

It is an ideal opportunity to experience the creativity of the Pittenweem arts community while supporting local artisans.

Pop in over the weekend - we will be serving mulled wine and mince pies from 2pm on Saturday for a small donation, as you peruse a variety of beautiful artworks. The fair will create an atmosphere filled with holiday cheer, including music and seasonal treats. 

Whether you're looking for a distinctive gift for a loved one or simply wish to immerse yourself in the creativity of our local artists, the fair offers something special for everyone. Bring your friends and family, and experience the village festive magic in our Pittenweem gallery in the High Street.

Artists - Share Your Creations!

We warmly invite all previous exhibitors of the Pittenweem Arts Festival to participate in this year’s Christmas Fair. Whether your expertise lies in jewellery, ceramics, textiles, woodwork, or painting, this is an excellent opportunity to share your work with a wider audience. 

Why Participate?

No Entry Fee: Participating in the fair is completely free of charge, making it accessible to all our past artists.

Effortless Participation: The festival team will handle all setup and logistics, and will be managing the retail side across the weekend, allowing you to focus solely on your craft. Simply apply, deliver your artwork to us and we’ll take care of the rest.

Engage a New Audience: This event provides an excellent platform to reach new admirers and potential buyers during the festive season, a time when people are particularly keen on finding unique gifts.

Support the Future of the Festival: By participating, you contribute to the ongoing success of the Pittenweem Arts Festival. Funds raised will help us keep future events accessible for all artists and audiences.

Information for Artists

How to submit your artwork

Eligibility: Open to artists who have previously exhibited at the Pittenweem Arts Festival. We welcome you back to be part of this community celebration. 

Apply now, using our simple form.

 

What to Submit

Smaller items, crafts, and textiles: You may submit up to 16 pieces. This includes items like jewellery, ceramics, knitwear, glasswork, and woodwork.

Paintings: Artists can submit up to two paintings (maximum size A2) and up to five unframed prints. We want to showcase a wide range of your work to our audience.

Application Process: Complete the simple online application form by November 22nd. The application process is quick, ensuring you have more time for creating.

Sales and Commission: The festival will retain 50% of the sales proceeds to help cover festival costs. This helps ensure the sustainability of the festival for years to come.

We also encourage artists to donate smaller items, such as cards or prints, to support our fundraising efforts. These donations contribute to the festival’s success and provide additional options for visitors.

 

Key Dates

Artwork Drop-off: Deliver your pieces on:

  • Monday 2nd December - 10am-2pm
  • Wednesday 4th December - 10am-2pm
  • Thursday 5th December - all 10am - 2pm

Our team will be ready to receive and carefully arrange your work.

Collection of Unsold Items: Unsold items should be collected on:

  • Monday 9th December - 10am-2pm
  • Wednesday 11th December -10am-2pm
  • Thursday 12th December - 10am-2pm 

We will ensure everything is organised for easy collection.

 

Help Promote the Fair

Your support in promoting the fair is invaluable. Please share the event with your social networks and use #PAFChristmasFair to spread the word. We will provide promotional graphics for you to use, making it easier to share with your audience and generate excitement.

If you wish to have your artwork featured in our promotional materials, please send high-quality images (300dpi) to info@pittenweemartsfestival.co.uk. This is an excellent way to gain additional exposure for your work.

 

Participation Guidelines

  • Complete our short application form by Friday 22nd November
  • All artwork must be original and created by you. We celebrate authenticity and craftsmanship in all its forms.
  • Each item must be clearly labelled, including pricing and inventory details, to facilitate the sales process.
  • Ensure your artwork is insured while in our care. Although we will take the utmost care, the festival cannot assume liability for any loss or damage.
