EXPLORE THE ART
Pittenweem is compact and easily accessible on foot, but it is hilly, so we also have a dedicated free bus service on a loop for those who may struggle, that will take you to various Festival delights!
We ask you to remember that many of the venues are people’s homes, and to be respectful of their property. The artists also make it clear on the brochure guide if they are able to accept well-behaved pets.
Make sure you take advantage of the variety of events at the Festival – from workshops to artist talks. There’s lots happening for visitors of all ages, running from 10am in the morning through to the evening. The events programme changes every day, so make sure pick up a copy of the daily events list and book early!
AND DON'T FORGET REFRESHMENTS
Pittenweem has a variety of places to stop off, recharge and plan the rest of your adventure. From the coffee shops in the High Street, to outlets at the Harbour, and of course, good old fish and chips! We also have a selection of refreshment vans for a quick stop off. And of course, you can grab an ice cream!
GETTING THERE
By Car: Pittenweem is easily accessible by car. From Edinburgh, take the A92 to Glenrothes, then follow the A911 and A915 to the East Neuk of Fife, and finally the A917 directly to Pittenweem. The journey offers stunning views and is an adventure in itself.
Parking: The Car Park for visitors is just off Charles Street and is well signposted from the main roads. Please do not park in the village itself, as there are restrictions in place.

Take a train to Kirkcaldy or Leuchars station, both of which are serviced by routes from across Scotland, and then board a bus directly to Pittenweem – numbers 95 and X60. The bus journey lets you soak in the scenic beauty of Fife’s countryside and coastal areas.
By Air: The nearest airport is Edinburgh Airport, from where you can rent a car or take public transport (a combination of bus and train) to reach Pittenweem. It’s an excellent option for international visitors looking to explore the East Neuk of Fife and its treasures.
In addition to public transport links, walking and cycling are great active options around the East Neuk of Fife.
Fife's coastal path meanders from Kincardine to Newburgh with multiple stops (including Pittenweem!) along the way for walkers and more information on the route can be found here.
If cycling takes your fancy, then the East Neuk 50 is a popular route to consider, connecting Kirkcaldy to Dundee via the coast.
