PITTENWEEM ARTS FESTIVAL
PLEIN AIR COMPETITION

ARE YOU READY TO SHOWCASE YOUR ARTISTIC TALENT IN ONE OF SCOTLAND'S MOST PICTURESQUE COASTAL VILLAGES?

The Pittenweem Arts Festival invites you to participate in our Plein Air Art Competition, an event that celebrates creativity and the enchanting beauty of Pittenweem. Whether you're a seasoned artist or a budding talent, this is your chance to capture the magic of our vibrant community and stunning landscapes.

Inspired by the popularity of the Sky Arts TV programme, Landscape Artist of the Year, our Plein Air Art Competition promises an exciting day of artistic expression. This beloved show has brought landscape painting into the limelight, inspiring countless artists to venture outdoors and capture the world around them.

This year we were thrilled to have Tony Griffin, a celebrated semi-finalist from the show, as our esteemed judge this year (as well as one of our exhibiting artists!)

AND THE WINNERS WERE...

Maggie Sadullah and Rosie Sullivan!

Our judge Tony Griffin was blown away but the submissions from all our Plein Air Competition winners. He particularly remarked on the mark-making from Rosie and the colour values and complexity of Maggie's work, given the medium and windy conditions.

Well done everyone and thank you so much for taking part.

Check back next year to participate!
