IMPRINT CASTS

Katy Eccles, the maker behind Imprint Casts, is a botanical casting artist based in Edinburgh but born and raised in Fife.

Katy’s practice centres on capturing the ephemeral and transient beauty of nature and preserving it through a unique casting process. All Katy’s botanical casts works are created using flowers and foliage hand picked from her mother's garden and woodland in Fife.

Over the last few years Katy has created bespoke collections for Jessica Buckley and Birdie Fortescue as well as supplying artwork for site specific interior schemes. Her recent body of work is inspired by her interest in the 18th century practice of collecting plaster works from antiquity in Britain.

Her latest body of work is a modern interpretation of these art history reference points, using nature as her muse.
