Textile artist turned ceramicist Kirsty Jay Anderson makes functional stoneware ceramics with minimal contemporary shapes and a rustic, warm feeling you find at home.
The ceramic pieces range from mugs and bowls for daily use to unique vases and bowls. Her ceramics are inspired by nature and the paths it leaves behind in the landscape. The vessels themselves are simple shapes taken from Kirsty’s interest in the aesthetics of past objects—milk churns, chemistry beakers, and enamel wear. These shapes will continue to inform each other as she grows and develops her practice
