LIGNUM AND LEAF

I am a wood craftswoman based on Falkland Estate, working from a workshop set in the woodland. My passion for handcrafted woodwork is deeply rooted in my love for the natural world and sustainability.

My work is predominantly crafted from ethically sourced Scottish timber, as I believe in preserving our planet for future generations. I strive to reduce waste generated by my creative practice. As such I use the off cuts from larger projects to create smaller pieces and often use recycled hard woods.

My pieces are inspired by the organic shapes and textures found in nature, and I strive to highlight the beauty of the wood in its most natural form. The natural characteristics of each piece of wood guide my design, allowing me to creating unique and one of a kind pieces. Through my work I hope to inspire others to become more curious about, and appreciative of, the natural world around us.

In addition to my own work I undertake commissions for custom pieces, enjoying the collaborative process of making your vision a reality.
