I am a printmaker and jeweller based in Edinburgh, Scotland. My work is made up of a combination of printmaking, photography, collage and digital processes: creating minimal, considered compositions, sometimes with a hint of humour. A preoccupation with all things nautical has led to past projects which cover subjects including ocean currents, flashing patterns of Scottish lighthouses and Scottish fishing folklore. I am interested in the natural environment and the interactions of humankind with the natural world. Usually taking the form of a print or a book, having a background in illustration I try to find a narrative even where there doesn’t appear to be one. My fascination with all things nautical has also spilled over into my jewellery making, most of which is made using recycled silver, recycled glass beads and hemp cord.
